Last night, cop-hatin' abstinence-only proponent Gov. Sarah Palin said:
"You know, they say the difference between a hockey mom and a pitbull? Lipstick." As a pit bull pal I would hate to think that my Lou the Great™ has much of anything in common with any politician let alone a loony like Palin. Smart, unfailingly loyal, consistent & adorable: all adjectives that fall exclusively on the pit bull side of the Lou/Palin Venn diagram. Plus, as much as I hated doing it, since Lou's fixed I don't have to worry about any out-of-wedlock pregnancies. On the other hand, the behavior of both follow the maxim "it's not the dog, it's the master." McCain: Democracy's Michael Vick. |

Speaking at the RNC last night, all-around panty twist Joe Lieberman said: "Don't be fooled. God only made one John McCain, and he is his own man." Yet, a Google phonebook search yields over 100 results in the U.S. alone. |

Bush is to Putin as Palin is to Irl Stambaugh? |

When Bush Jr. met Georgia-invading former KGBer Vlad Putin he said:
"I looked the man in the eye. I found him to be very straightforward and trustworthy...I was able to get a sense of his soul; a man deeply committed to his country and the best interests of his country." Similarly, when best-VP-pick-since-Thomas-Eagleton, Sarah Palin, fired Wasilla's police chief, Irl Stambaugh and library director (!?!), Mary Ellen Emmons, she defended her mayoral choice saying: ”You know in your heart when someone is supportive of you.” Misplaced gut feelings must poll high among newly-energized evangelicals. Is Sarah Palin the source of this fervor or has the "Red Bull gives you wings" marketing campaign finally found its target audience? |

CNN: GOP spokesman Alex Conant reacted to Gore's criticism of President Bush. "This election isn't about changing the past, it's about changing the future," he told The Associated Press on Monday evening. |
